Cuba Roadtrip

Explore the real Cuba during this unique 11-day road trip journey from bustling Havana, exploring many towns and villages along the way, passing through Trinidad and Santiago de Cuba all the way to magical Baracoa on the untouched eastern shore. Having our own transport, this will be a journey on the road less travelled.

The itinerary will start in the bustling capital Havana, from here we will visit the perfectly preserved Spanish settlement of Trinidad. Trinidad is a town in central Cuba, known for its colonial old town and cobblestone streets. Its neo-baroque main square, Plaza Mayor, is surrounded by grand colonial buildings.

From Trinidad we will travel to Camaguey, the third largest city in Cuba, know for its labyrinths-style street layout. Onwards through historic charming Bayamo, we will reach Santiago the Cuba, the cultural capital of Cuba which has a huge historical significance with its Afro-Cuban origins and its history as the cradle of Cuba’s numerous revolutionary movements.

From Santiago de Cuba we will travel on “La Farola” - a stunning mountain pass road build in the 1960s to Baracoa, often described as Cubas best kept secret which was visited by Admiral Christopher Columbus on November 27, 1492.

On our way back to Havana, we will stay overnight in Santa Clara, Cuba's 5th largest city which is located in the most central region of the country.  It’s known for its revolutionary landmarks. In the city's west, the Che Guevara Mausoleum is the resting place of Che Guevara and other fighters. It’s crowned by a massive bronze statue of the revolutionary leader.

We’re passionate about teaching the different aspects of photography. A good amount of time will be spent on reviewing your work during the travel with a detailed feedback and assistance from our side. Our aim is to help you to become comfortable photographing strangers in unfamiliar environment, recognise favourable photography situations, judge the quality of natural light and adjust to low light situations. Our Ebook will be provided to you to help with your learning and we’ll make sure you return home with a beautiful photo essay.
