April 13 - 22, 2019
Our 10 day/9 nights photo adventure workshop provides a full immersion in the pulsating Neapolitan culture and its devout people.
We will meet in Naples at noon of our first day at our beautiful hotel centrally located near the port in historic Naples. The historic centre of Naples is declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has one of the biggest historical city centres in the world with the highest number of historical and monumental churches in the World for a single city making it extremely interesting to experience and photograph the vibrant life and events during Easter. Before heading out to explore this this pulsating and devout town, we will begin the workshop with a presentation on how to become comfortable photographing strangers.
During our stay we will visit many of the neighbourhoods and Piazzas of Naples, the Spanish Quarter, Montesanto and Forcella. We will also visit a painting by Caravaggio and make a day trip by ferry to the volcanic isle of Procida in the Tyrrhenian Sea with its colourful and iconic harbour.
Part of the program will will be a day trip to the ancient ruins of Pompeii and the superbly conserved Roman fishing town Herculaneum as well as the volcano mount Vesuvius.
As in all our workshops, eating great food will be part of our Naples adventure. The Neapolitan Cuisine in Naples is absolutely amazing, even for Italian standards! Be prepared to gain a few pounds on this trip.
We’re passionate about teaching the different aspects of photography. A good amount of time will be spent on reviewing your work during the travel with a detailed feedback and assistance from our side. Our aim is to help you to become comfortable photographing strangers in unfamiliar environment, recognise favourable photography situations, judge the quality of natural light and adjust to low light situations. Our Ebook will be provided to you to help with your learning and we’ll make sure you return home with a beautiful photo essay.
