Eastern Cuba | Adventure travel Photo workshop
This Photo adventure provides and in-depth exploration of Bayamo, Santiago De Cuba and Baracoa, offering a unique view of a world far away from the capitol Havana. During this Adventure travel Photo workshop we travel in a small group which enables us to have a close cultural exchange, an immersion into the Cuban culture which offers a photographic experience distinctively different from the typical organised tourist tour. Rather than visiting the tourist attractions, we explore small rural villages, plantations and beaches where we will find Cubans working and relaxing. We use the advantage of our small group to stay in places where larger groups would not be able to find enough suitable accommodation, offering a unique view of a world few visitors have been able to see.
This workshop will be presented with an exciting mix of activities, a rich schedule of group shooting opportunities, as well as time for the photographers to make their own personal explorations.
This photo adventure workshop is designed for a small group and are open to amateur and professional photographers. Companions, spouses and non-photographers are also welcome.
Our aim is for you to complete an authentic photo essay of the amazingly human, vibrant, and passionate Cuban culture.
To achieve this, we will explain how to photograph with natural light and in low light situations, portrait photography and how to become comfortable photographing strangers no matter where you will go.
Through our photo selection process, you will discover your own distinctive visual voice for telling your story through your own images. We will have individual and group discussions and we will select images which you will be proud off, your own photographic essay in your own unique visual voice. You will further your general photographic skills and expression, while at the same time making a once in a lifetime journey and engaging with the daily lives of the Cuban people.
Our adventure travel photo workshops are designed for those photographers, from every level, who, with an independent and inquisitive mind, are seeking a more immersive learning experience while enjoying exploring what’s hidden around the next corner. While this travel is not physically demanding, the participants should be in good health and ready to walk and explore.
